Twila Porter Rockwell

Twila Porter Rockwell of Nephi, Utah passed away February 23, 2020 from natural causes at age 98. She was born September 27, 1921 in Orderville, Utah to Francis Alvin Porter and Martha Heaton Porter. Twila was one of eleven children in the family.

Growing up in Orderville was a time of family, friends, fun, and faith. She graduated from Valley High School in 1939. She soon married Dale Bray. They later divorced. Twila later married Lenard E. Rockwell.

Twila was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lenard and Twila enjoyed their many adventures traveling from Alaska to Mexico. She was a talented seamstress, storyteller and artist. Twila lent her talents to her many students.

Twila is survived by her children; Alan D. (Linda) Bray, Maxine Bray, Beverly McClellan, Russell D. (Christine) Bray, John W. (Kathie) Rockwell, Carolann Rockwell, Robyn (Achim) Nigbur and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Twila was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her sons Don S. Bray and L. Kevin Rockwell, son-in-law Rex E. McCellan, daughter-in-law Norma Jean Clark Rockwell, and granddaughter Genevieve Rockwell.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 6, 2020 at Wing Mortuary Chapel in Lehi, Utah. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Online guest book at wingmortuary.com.
