Miss Lehi 2018 contestants highlighted

The Miss Lehi Pageant is fast approaching, and there are ten contestants vying for the title. The pageant, slated for Saturday, June 23, will take place at Lehi High School. Tickets can be purchased from any of the contestants, at Pioneer Party, or at the Legacy Center. The first four contestants are profiled below.

Abby Sue Garner

Abby is the daughter of Robb and Jeanne Garner. She is 20 years old and hopes to one day become an elementary education teacher. For her talent, Abby will be performing a musical theatre vocal solo titled, Always Starting Over.” One interesting fact about Abby is that she has visited Disneyland 16 times. Her platform focuses on the positive effects of arts on mental health.

 

Zoey Evans

Zoey is the daughter of Ryan and Kattie Evans and she is 17 years old. Zoey is currently a junior at Skyridge High School and will graduate in 2019. Her talent is a classical piano piece titled, “Fantasietanz.” Zoey is a sixth generation Lehi resident and her name is on the statue of David Evans outside of the Legacy Center. Her platform revolves around bullying prevention.

 

Alexis Jensen

Alexis is the daughter of Amy L. Jensen-Booth. She is 21 years old and attends Utah Valley University. For her talent, Alex will perform a vocal solo, “Never Enough,” from the Greatest Showman. Alexis has Heterochromia, which means she has one green eye and one blue eye. Her platform addresses opioid abuse and using prescription drugs correctly.

Hannah Norton

Hannah is the daughter of Andrea and Gary Norton. She is 20 years old and is an MATC graduate. Hannah’s talent is a

vocal performance of, “With You,” from Ghost the Musical. Hannah has a collagen disorder, so she has abnormally stretchy skin. Her platform is all about suicide prevention and awareness.

 

Victoria Greenwood

Victoria is the daughter of Mark and Elizabeth Greenwood. She is 19 years old and attends BYU. She will perform a classical piano piece titled, “Prelude in C# Minor.” Victoria’s feet one whole size different from each other.

Sierra Conrad

Sierra Conrad is 18 years old and recently graduated from Skyridge High School. She will be performing a contemporary dance for her talent. She loves the Chinese culture and has won a Chinese speaking competition that allowed her to win a trip to visit China.

 

 

Lindsey Larsen

Lindsey is the daughter of Paul and Jill Larsen. She is 17 years old and currently attends Skyridge High School as a junior. Lindsey’s talent is a classical ballet variation en pointe. Lindsey has eyes that can twitch on command.

Emily Anderson

Emily is the daughter of Ryan and Jena Anderson. She is 17 years old and just graduated from Lehi High School this year. She will be performing a contemporary dance solo to, “The Buzz.” Emily has been on the LHS dance company as a choreographer for two years, was the cheer captain this year, and served as spirit representative on student council.

 

Aliese Bumgardner

Aliese is the daughter of Kal and Julie Bumgardner and is 20 years old. She currently attends Snow College but plans on attending UVU this fall. For her talent, she will perform a classical piano piece with Spanish flair. Aliese has a deep love for 50’s and 60’s music.

 

 

Markell Woolstenhulme

Markell is the daughter of Ron and Joell Woolstenhulme. She is 20 years old and is currently attending Utah Valley University. Her talent is a unique hula hooping dance to the song, “I love me ,” by Meghan Trainor. Markell is an avid Dungeons and Dragons player.
