Tree Lighting at Outlets

On Saturday, November 11, Santa and Mrs. Claus officially started the holiday season by flipping the switch to light the Christmas tree at the Outlets at Traverse Mountain. The adorned tree is the tallest fresh cut Christmas tree in all of Utah, reaching over 80 feet in height. The tree is decorated with over 500 lights and 900 ornaments. The night started at 6 p.m. with a free concert by Asher Angel, who plays Jonah Beck on Disney’s “Andi Mack,” and a performance by local band, “The Strike.” This was Angel’s first concert appearance, so his supportive cast mates of “Andi Mack” made a surprise appearance to support their friend and co-worker.

Bringing the Christmas tree at the Outlets at Traverse Mountain is a two-week process of cutting the tree, bringing it to Utah and decorating it. Each year, the Outlets at Traverse Mountain hosts a Tree Lighting Concert and Celebration to light the tree. The event features the Mayor of Lehi and Santa lighting the tree. Outlets Marketing Director, Crystal Jones said, “With close to 10,000 attendees, this Tree Lighting event continues to grow each year and become a holiday kick off tradition for families in our community.”
