Thefts on the Rise as Holidays Approach

Published

on

On Monday, November 14 a Lehi resident’s security camera caught a male thief as he stole a package from their front porch in North Lehi, near Eaglecrest Elementary. The incident occurred at 11a.m. Apparently, the thief waited until morning traffic in the area died down and then brazenly stole the package in broad daylight hours.

Lehi Police indicate this is not a rare occurrence in Lehi and encourage residents to be present when packages are delivered if possible. If packages can be delivered to a work place, rather than a home, thefts are reduced.

The thief was driving a late model silver Hyundai Sonata. If anyone can identify the male, thought to be in his thirties and around 6 feet tall, please contact Lehi City Police Department at (801) 768-7110.
