LEHI, Utah (September 08, 2016) – The 13th annual Mascot Bowl, a charity football game that benefits “Bear Hugs for Kids” and “Firemen and Friends for Kids,” will take place on Monday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. at Skyridge High School. Jazz Bear will again join the all-star mascot team for an action-filled night, alongside this year’s celebrity quarterback Aaron Lesue (arena football player and former Utah State University wide receiver).

Tickets are $3 (children 2 and under are free) and can be purchased in advance at Skyridge High School or at the gate on Monday night. Skyridge High School is located at 3000 North Center Street in Lehi.

The event, presented by Jazz Bear and Skyridge High School Sports Marketing, will begin with a mascot and celebrity autograph session, including Derrick Parra (Olympic gold medalist speed skater), John Buck (former MLB catcher), and Aaron Lesue (arena football player and former Utah State University wide receiver). The all-star mascot team, which will feature local and professional sports team mascots, will take on the eighth-grade football teams from Lehi and Skyridge High School. A fireworks show will take place at the conclusion of the game.

This year’s roster includes: “Bear” and “Lil’ Bear” (Utah Jazz), “Coyote” (San Antonio Spurs), “Rocky” (Denver Nuggets), “Chuck” (L.A. Clippers), “Benny” (Chicago Bulls), “Rumble” (Oklahoma City Thunder), “Franklin” (Philadelphia 76ers), “Leo” (Real Salt Lake), “Bumble” (Salt Lake Bees), “Grizzbee” (Utah Grizzlies), “Rocky” (Rocky Mountain Raceway), “Swoop” (University of Utah), “Cosmo” (BYU), “Big Blue” (Utah State University), and “Waldo” (Weber State University).

The event benefits “Bear Hugs for Kids” and “Firemen and Friends for Kids,” both of which provide holiday shopping sprees for local children in need, and is planned and executed by the Skyridge High School Sports Marketing students under the direction of Becky White.

The night will also include performances by the Utah Jazz Stunt team, Utah Jazz Dunk team, Skyridge High School varsity and 8th grade cheers teams, and a special half time show by Johnny Revill and his band. There will be food, prizes, giveaways, contests, and activities for the entire family.
